PAUL RICARD-3. DAN
3. dana testiranja Kimi Rikkonen postavio je najbolje vrijeme od 1m 28.833s te odvozio 50 krugova. Finac je radio na pronačaženju pravog set-upa za svoj F2007 i također kombinirajući različite vrste Bridgestone-ovih guma. Dvije destinke sporiji od njega bio je Scott Speed koji je na svom STR2 koristio super meke gume. Heikki Kovalainen bio je treći, a Robert Kubica 4.

I posljednjeg dana testiranja na francuskoj stazi Paul Ricard Kimi Raikkonen je osvojio prvo mjesto. Iza njega je kao drugoplasirani bio Giancarlo Fisichella. Samo 0.017 sekundi djelilo je njega i Kimija. Obojica su odvozili više od 100 krugova. Njih dvojicu pratio je Pedro de la Rosa, test vozač Mclarena te završio na 3. mjestu. Timovi će se ponovno okupiti u četvrtak, 24. svibnja, na prvom treningu uoči V. N. Monaca

INTERVJU S KIMIJEM
U ovom intervju Kimi je opisao svoje dojmove o V. N. Španjolske, rekao je koji su razlozo odustajanja i što misli o izjavama Jackie Stewart. Naime Stewart je izajvio da nije uredu da netko ode ranjie s utrke, tj. napusti stazu zbog jedne utakmice hokeja.
Q. How has the Paul Ricard test been so far?
Kimi Raikkonen: We had a problem so we could not do many things, but today it has been okay.
Q. How is the car behaving in low down force set-up?
KR: It seems to be okay. It is hard to compare to Montreal, but it is quite all right. It is going okay.
Q. What was missing in the Barcelona race? Have you managed to understand what went wrong?
KR: I was much happier in the last race because we found something in the test, but there were some problems. It was a cable, nothing big, that got damaged.
Q. You were so happy with the solution you found in the test prior to the race. How come you could not repeat that in the race?
KR: Like I said, the situation can be different from the test to the race. We lost the last sector in qualifying and then the race was okay before we had a problem.
Q. And retiring cannot be much fun can it?
KR: Of course it was not fun, and no one wants that. We were in a good position in the championship but we are not so good any more. But like I said before, there are many races to go. We just have to work hard and get back up there. We need to get some points.
Q. How about here? Have you found something that is good?
KR: I am happy here, but we cannot compare.
Q. How did you find the tyres? Did you try the two compounds?
KR: For Monaco I don't really know, because it is a different circuit. But for Montreal they seem okay. I tried both.
Q. Are you surprised that Felipe Massa has got more points than you at this stage of the championship?
KR: Not really. Things did not go well in qualifying, so we are working on that. We are trying different things and we will see in the races.
Q. What about the next race in Monaco. Is that somewhere you really like?
KR: It is a nice circuit for the drivers - not so much for racing but for the people who watch. It is good fun and hopefully we can get the car sorted by then so we can be fast.
Q. Jackie Stewart has said some things about you, suggesting that drivers should never leave the track before the race so they can go and watch a hockey match...
KR: I don't care what Jackie says. It has nothing to do with me. What should I say?
Q. So what did you make of Luca di Montezemolo's words of support this week?
KR: That is probably more important than what Jackie Stewart says. I think we have a good atmosphere and a good working relationship.

FISICO ZADOVOLJAN
Giancarlo Fisichella zadovoljan je rezultatom na testiranjima, te radom svog bolida R27. Francuski tim nakon 5. mjesta u Barceloni koji je ujedno njihov najbolji rezultat ove sezone imaju još veći posticaj za još bolje rezultate, a oni su nastavljeni jučerašnjim drugim mjestom na posljednjem danu testiranja.
Fisichella je izajvio: "I again tried the (new) front suspension and it does give a better turn-in, so less understeer and also more consistency in the rear, which is nice.
We had no mechanical problems and it was a very positive test. The best time was a good lap, i did that with supersoft tyres and i could feel the grip straight away especially in the rear, it really gave a good traction.
So it looks all encouraging for Montreal."
Ginacarlo je izajvio da voli Monaco no za tu se utrku nikad nište ne zna. "As for Monaco, it is a lottery, no one knows,"

KIMI RAIKKONEN
Kimi Rikkonen je izjavio da je i dalje siguran da ima šanse osvojiti prvenstvo iako je pao na 4. mjesto u ukupnom poretku. Finac je bio na trećem mjestu kada je zbog problema s elektronikom u 9. krugu morao odustati. A evo što je izajvio:
"There are still thirteen races to go and I am only eight points down on the leader. Of course I would like to be at the top of the classification but as I have often said, there is still no reason to worry about it yet. The true effect of this retirement will only be known at the end of the season."
"I am not the type to go over what has happened and I'm not about to start now. This is part of racing and it's impossible to change what has happened. Retiring from a race is the worst part of our sport and it makes you feel the worst. Points have been lost and there's no going back."
A rekao je i zašto je ranije otišao s utrke.
"I asked the team if I could go quickly and I'm pleased they saw that giving me permission was the right thing to do, I arrived home in Wollerau in time to see the final stages of the ice hockey world championship final, but Finland lost to Canada. Obviously, this just wasn't a good day."

FELIPE UOČI V. N. MONACA
I nakon 2 pobjede i 3 pole position-a Massa i dalje ne vodi u ukupnom poretku. To ne čudi samo njegove fanove već i samog Brazilca
„Nakon dvije pobjede i tri pole pozicije čudno je što ne vodim u ukupnom poretku,“ rekao je.
„To sve pokazuje kako idemo u pravom smjeru, ali i da moramo naporno raditi. Ja sam vozač sa najviše pole pozicija i pobjeda do sada, no prava borba tek sada počinje. Ako pogledate Q2 u Barceloni, tada se može vidjeti da je bolid uistinu brz. Prednost nije velika,“ dodao je.
„No u utrci, sa gumama, motorom, setupom, i strategijom imamo bolji paket nego McLaren.“
Za Autosport izjavio je da Hamiltona smatra glavnom prijetnjom.
"It is Hamilton who leads right now and I have spoken quite a bit to him: he is definitely strong and is not bothered by pressure," rekao je Massa na svom službenom website blogu.
"At the moment, you cannot say that Fernando or him are the better driver, but if the situation continues like this, then maybe Lewis can even be more dangerous than Fernando, given his championship position and how he goes in the car.
"At the moment he seems more comfortable in the car than Fernando. We need to keep an eye on that, because he can be a dangerous threat."

Fantastičnom vožnjom Britanac je došao do najboljeg vremena na testiranjima u Francuskoj. Za čak 1.3 sekunde bio je brži od drugoplasiranog Ralfa Scumachera. Treći je bio Renault-ov test-vozač Nelson Piquet Jr.

I drugi dan testiranja Lewis Hamilton bio je uvjerljivo najbrži. Mclarenov vozač bio je brži od Felipe-a Masse za 0.141 sekundu. Robert Kubica bio je treći , a nakon njega slijede David Coulthard te Takuma Sato. Svi timovi su upotrjebili super meke gume koje će ove sezone biti prvi put korištene u Monacu.

SUCI ZAKAZALI???
Test-vozač Mclarena Pedro de la Rosa inzistira na tome da se istraži incident kada je Massa zatvorio Fernanda Alonsa. Španjolac se čudi što potez nije prošao bez intervencije FIA – e.
„Suci su to trebali istražiti,“ rekao je De la Rosa. „Ne pokušavam reći da je Massu trebalo kazniti, no vozači bi trebali prije analizirati situaciju.“
No nisu se svi složili s tom tvrdnjom. Spykerov test vozač, Adrian Valles, vjeruje kako je to bio trkaći incident.
„Fernando se morao izložiti opasnosti jer je Felipe bio brži. Ne vjerujem da je Massa učinio bilo šta pogrešno, jer obojica su bila poravnati.“
Felipe Massa izajvio je da nije do došlo do greške u Barceloni. Na isti način kako je Alonso na posljednjoj utrci izgubio poziciju, tako je i Massa izgubio od oba Mclarena na V.N. Malezije. Zbog te greške koja mu se tada dogodila, Massa je odlučio da je ne smije ponovno napraviti
„To je bila bliska borba u prvom zavoju, i to su svi vidjeli,“ rekao je.
„Što bi se dogodilo da sam bio sporiji? Nisam se uplašio, jer tada ne bi bio pravi borac.“
„Nakon što sam u Maleziji previše izgubio, ovog puta sam nešto naučio i napravio korak naprijed.“
Ja mislim da je imao pravo.
